If Tomorrow Doesn't Come
Sometimes, in the quiet moments of the morning, we start to think about things we usually avoid. One of those things is this: the world is coming to an end. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But it’s getting closer.
And maybe it’s not the end of the whole world yet, but it could be the end of your time. Or mine. Death doesn’t send a message before it comes. It doesn’t ask if we’re ready. It just shows up.
We say we believe in the Hereafter. In the Day of Judgment. In Heaven and Hell. But if we’re honest, most of the time we don’t live like we believe it. We delay prayers. We say, “I’ll repent later.”
We know what’s wrong, but we still do it, thinking we have time to fix everything.
But the truth is… we don’t know how much time we have.
This reminder isn’t to make you panic or feel hopeless. It’s to wake up your heart. Because even if we’ve made many mistakes, even if we’ve sinned again and again, Allah still wants us to come back to Him.
“Oh My servants who have wronged themselves, don’t lose hope in Allah’s mercy. Allah forgives all sins.”
(Surah Az-Zumar, 39:53)
You don’t need to be perfect to return to Allah. You just need to be sincere. Start small. Istighfar with meaning. Pray two rakaat. Talk to Allah honestly, like you would talk to someone who really loves you, because He does.
If tomorrow never comes, let today be the day you finally turned back. Not out of fear only, but out of love. Love for the One who still gives you life, even when you forget Him. Love for the One who’s been waiting for your return.
It’s never too late, as long as you’re still breathing.
